Mark, a homeless man in Burlington, Vt., granted a reporter and myself access into his makeshift shelter at an undisclosed location near Burlington. Mark says that without a "wet" shelter that allows substance, any homeless people in the area are forced to live at the mercy of the elements.
Mark engineered this structure out of milk crates for superstructure, plastic bags for insulation and tarps for water-proofing. He has two friends living with him.
